Parents Towards aware from infections of Menstruation Hygiene.

During the year orgnaization implementing program during the year awareness raising on using sanitary napkins with our targeted 100 Disable girls   in Jamalpur district of Bangladesh in order to develop their menstrual hygiene under sexual and reproductive health Program through awareness and advocacy orientation and individually motivation and counselling and support Sanitary napkin to Adolescents girl with Disabilities.

During the Period organized group Orientation program on Personnel Hygiene , Sexual & reproductive health issues at Dewangonj area office with Mother of and care givers of Adolescent girls( Intellectually disable, Hearing Impaired , Low vision, Physical handicap , Wheel chair user Girls) for creating positive awareness and information disseminate in to adolescent girls. Numbers of 30 Mother of adolescent girls and care givers are attend the orientation session.

In this orientation session our Program Director and team Members are conducted and trying to understand to targeted adolescent girls on Menstruation is a biological process in women but now it is a big social taboo in our area. Adolescent girls and women with Disabilities are bound with social and family’s restrictions are not touching books, barrier doing homework and outside walking, not publicly discuss about this issue. Adolescent girls and Women are still use old cloth pieces during periods. Intellectually and hearing impaired Disable Adolescents girls are not manage their period and they are most vulnerable. Parents of Adolescent girls are told us – “we are aware about our Menstruation hygiene /monthly period and take proper management, todays orientation and counselling is help us and we are understood protected from infections. ”

Our implementing Program will help to Increasing use of Sanitary napkins or clean cloth pieces will help them to free from infections, more confident positively. Increase knowledge on Sexual and reproductive health and also menstruation will enlighten them against malpractices during menstruation and bring a long term impact in the lives of disable adolescent girls both biologically and socially. This program carried a significant role play in the community.
