Online Fundraising Update
By colin flahive | Director at China California Heart Watch
China California Heart Watch has had a solid fundraising year so far with more than $10,000 raised for underprivileged children in Yunnan in need of life-saving heart surgery. Over the last two decades that Dr. Detrano has been working to save the lives of those in need, China has made a number of major steps to assure that people get the medical treatment they need regardless of their financial status.
However, there will always be those who slip through this safety net, and that is where China California Heart Watch steps in. Whether it be for the costs of heart surgeries themselves, or to cover those extra costs that families must incur to travel from thier villages to live in an unfamiliar city while their child undergoes treatment and recovery, China California Heart Watch will be there to help.
Please consider a donation to help a child in need.

Summer Fundraiser
By colin flahive | Director at China California Heart Watch
This summer, China California Heart Watch continues to work with underprivileged children with congenital heart disease. With your help, we support families who have nowhere else to turn for help. We have met many families over the years who, when speaking of their children and their medical conditions, say they are left with no choice but to give up on any chance at life-saving surgery due to medical expenses. China has done an amazing job over the last decade trying to secure this safety net so that this is less of a problem than it used to be, but there are still cracks some children fall through. This is where your donations go. China California Heart Watch has no operational expenses of its own to fund, so that means 100% of your donations will get to those who need it.
Over the last decade, China California Heart Watch has funded more than 50 life-saving surgeries in Yunnan alone. With your help, we can keep this number growing. Every child deserves a healthy heart, and we will continue to try and make that a little bit more accessible to families who could not otherwise afford it.

2023 plans for CCHW
By colin flahive | Director at China California Heart Watch
2022 brought many new opportunities to underprivileged children in China's countryside as the the country's continued poverty alleviation efforts continue to remake village areas. However, there are still many children with congenital heart disease that need financial help to get life-saving surgery. This is where you all come in. Your generous contributions in 2022 have helped numerous families deal with the financial burden brought on by their children's medical condition.
We want to start 2023 off right, and for the next three months, every donation will be matched, doubling your contribution and your impact on the lives of children in need. More than that, Rotary groups in China have promised to again double that contribution. This means that your $100 contribution will be quadrupled to $400.
This opportunity will only last for another three months.
Thank you for your continued support.
