Poor kids are still born with heart disease.
By ROBERT DETRANO | DIRECTOR, CHINA CAL
Since our project involves inter-action between a US based charity and poor Chinese children with heart disease, the travel restrictions caused by the COVID 19 pandemic have burdened us. We have overcome these obstacles by setting up a grant mechanism whereby grants can be funneled through China Cal to support heart surgeries done at Yunnan Province Fu Wai Cardio-vascular Hospital in Kunming, China. Your donations will still be used to help poor kids with heart disase who need help and who do not accessibility to resources of their own.
One hundred percent of your donation will be used to help a poor kid live a healthy life.

Project will restart on May 15.
By ROBERT DETRANO | CEO, China California Heart Watch
Due to the COVID 19 outbreak in China and follow-up outbreaks in westerh countries, our collaborating hospital, Fu Wai Cardiovascular Hospital has sent volunteers to Wu Han city to help address the crisis there. Those volunteers, who assist in our "Cure poor kids" program in Yunnan Povince, are now returning. We expect that operations will be normal by mid may and we will continue with grants to support poor kids heart surgeries at that time.
However, our funds for this are now quite low due to depressed economies throughout the world. So we are counting on you to help out. Please donate now. Even small donations of ten to twenty dollars help.
Thanks for your continued support.

Surging ahead to help more children in 2020
By Robert Detrano | CEO and Board Chair.
China Cal has made an agreement with its partner hospital, Yunnan Province Fu Wai Cardiovascular Hospital. This contractual agreement will provide for periodic grants from China Cal and provision of volunteers to that hospital in order to diagnose, refer and treat poor rural Yunnan Province children with heart disease. Fu Wai will use local health care personnel to perform mission trips to poor rural areas where children will be screened and when needed treated appropriately using grants from China Cal and other foundations. We hope to help dozens of children this year.
We are happy to announce that this new method is already working. In December of 2019, teams of Fu Wai personnel with volunteer local and foreign pediatric cardiologists referred and supported15 poor children with heart disease.
