The Collinsville Food Pantry - Moving Forward

The Collinsville Food Pantry is continuously moving forward.  We recently were able to purchase some new shelves for 2 areas of the Pantry.  These are stainless steel shelving units that are able to be sanitized and provide plenty of space for us to work distributing food.  We are fortunate to have several Church Organizations that are willing to provide the manpower to assemble the new shelves as well as removing the old ones.  Bruce and his "Oatmeal" gang from First Baptist Church arrived early (they like to meet for Breakfast before tackling projects) to complete this task.  We need and appreciated groups like these that never say "No" but when do you need us.  This shows how much Community spirit we are blessed to have.

Hello everyone.  In this report I want to talk about my progress as a new Director of the Collinsville Food Pantry.  The beginning of the year was challenging.  Donations came in more during Christmas, but we support our community all year long.  I have learned how need is all year long and more than many may anticipate.  I have also learned about the generosity of so many who fight to lessen food insecurity each day.  I am happy to join this cause and ready for the work it takes.  We are dedicated to being a resource for anyone in our community that needs us. We cannot do it without support from others.  I feel truly lucky to join in this cause and thank everyone who rallies and shows support.  Thank you for all the help provided and that will be provided in the future.
