The first quarter of 2025 has brought some challenges as Zambia’s national curriculum changed, prompting our teachers to quickly adapt. Many of our young students come from difficult home environments, where hunger or abuse can impact their ability to focus and thrive in school. These difficulties combined have proven disruptive to our students’ success.
To keep them engaged, we’ve been focusing on foundational skills like times tables and reading. Older students are quizzing the younger ones, turning practice into a fun and interactive part of the school day.
Their success means everything to us. So far, Chikumbuso has helped 102 students graduate from tertiary studies in fields such as agriculture, nursing, teaching, mechanics, and more. We know early development is key to long-term achievement, and your support helps us give these children the tools they need to succeed—not just now, but far into the future.
Thank you for helping us make that possible.
