Sistematizacion MUVI/Systematising MUVI

By Laura Robledo | Comunicacion

ENGLISH

One of the main challenges for any civil society organisation is the systematisation of its processes. MUVI is no exception, and this year we have the immense opportunity to develop a project financed by a Cummins Grant through the international platform GlobalGiving, which consists of an analysis of the MUVI Model.
This project will be carried out by an extraordinary team led by researchers Silvia Romero Contreras and Gabriela Silva Maceda, as well as Adria Haro in the coordination of the process, and Karen Reyes, Erandy Córdova and Dulce Ramírez as research assistants.

It is worth mentioning that Drs. Silvia and Gabriela coordinated the MUVI impact research study developed by the Faculty of Psychopedagogy of the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosi, so they have a great knowledge of what we do as an organisation.
For the past eleven years, MUVI has experienced many learnings in the implementation of our System, which has allowed us to modify and refine our practices towards the construction of a unique community music education model, with excellent results.

The efforts of our team of coordinators, teachers and community facilitators have made it possible to take several generations of children and young participants through a process that has had a significant impact on the development of their musical, artistic, personal and social skills, and it is therefore essential to systematise it, with a view to generating possibilities for replicating it in other parts of the world.
The aim of this analysis is to document, from a participatory perspective, our pedagogical model in order to identify its main characteristics and processes, as well as its strengths and areas of opportunity in order to achieve a greater systematisation that allows for its evaluation and continuous improvement.
We are very excited and happy to start this process, which will help MUVI grow stronger and have the potential to grow and continue over time.
We thank all the people involved, who will make this systematisation of 11 years of work possible.
