These are challenging times for us all as the Current Pandemic has changed the health care scenario globally.
Covid -19 situation has severely affected Hepatitis Elimination activities in Pakistan too, with lockdowns and social distancing; it has been very hard to maintain the tempo of community sensitization, screening to find the missing millions and Hep B vaccination within high risk communities.
Nevertheless, we at THF knew the severity of hepatitis vis a vis corona. We couldn't ignore the needy people for a long time. We started back with our activities in the field on a limited scale soon after the lockdown was eased.
No patient has missed the lifesaving medication during all this period and we have ensured that all patients’ ongoing treatment are followed up in a timely manners and requisite medicines is provided to Hepatitis patients.
Achievement till date:
Breakup of Activities:
Achievements from Feb 2021 - April 2021:-

Patients Registered =1,521
Patients Completed Treatment = 1,143
Patients SVR Due = 374
Patients SVR Done = 287 (75%)
Patients SVR Achieved = 287 (75%)
2. Finding the “Missing Million”:
Screening camps held = 115
Number of population screened = 8566
Number found Hep C positive = 556 (6.5 %)
Number found Hep B positive = 137 (1.6 %)
We are doing our best to treat all patients but this cannot be achieved unless we have you as our invaluable donors who can back us in our fight against hepatitis.
