Each year, millions of lives are lost because people do not have access to basic emergency medical services (EMS). It is the mission of CriticaLink to save these lives and improve access to rapid emergency care by training community volunteers in life-saving skills and using an innovative technology platform to alert and dispatch these volunteers in an emergency. CriticaLink believes basic medical care, including emergency medical care, is a fundamental human right and is dedicated to implementing innovative solutions to improve access to these services.
Support the Surfer Girls of Bangladesh
The Surfer Girls of Cox's Bazaar are an extraordinary group of underprivileged young girls, aged 8-14, who used to spend their days selling trinkets on the beach but now challenge local stereotypes to train as surfers and life-guards while going to school. Help CriticaLink support these amazing girls by providing: 1) CPR & First Aid certification help with their lifeguard credentials 2) Self-defense workshops to keep them safe 3) Women's health workshops to keep them healthy
Get emergency help to injury victims in Bangladesh
In Bangladesh, there are no emergency medical services (like 911), and as a result more than 82% of critically injured people die before they reach a hospital. Children and vulnerable populations such as those living or working in the streets (rickshaw-pullers, informal laborers, food vendors, etc.) are disproportionally affected. CriticaLink trains local volunteers as emergency First Responders and uses mobile technology to help them respond quickly so they can save lives in their community. project reportread updates from the field
