Provide Baby Daniel Batteries for Cochlear Implant

In September 2013, Daniel Kuhani, was rescued and brought to New Life Home. After careful testing, it was determined that Daniel was in need of a Cochlear Implant. An otolaryngologist in Indianapolis made arrangements for him to receive the implant without cost from the surgical services of his staff or hospital and Baby Daniel will receive ongoing therapy when he returns to Nairobi. However, he still needs the cost of the implant covered: $2000 covers batteries and a back up transmitter.
Clean Water For 50+ Rescued Kenyan Infants

In Kenya, contaminated drinking water is still a reality for many people. For this reason, New Life Home Trust has installed a water tank or borehole at each New Life home over the years. With the help of these tanks, once abandoned infants are offered quality care without fear of contracting preventable diseases. Additionally, we keep our overall costs lower by relying on our water tank rather than an outside source. New life for rescued infants requires clean, safe drinking water daily. project reportread updates from the field
Give Daniel the Gift of Hearing

Daniel was found in a market place on the edges of Nairobi and carried to safety by an elderly woman without a car or resources. After being nursed back to health, New Life staff realized that Daniel was completely deaf. Without insurance, an implant would cost just over $100,000; a small price for a lifetime of hearing, but an impossible price for a Nairobi orphan. With pro-bono surgery and funds already raised for travel, the only remaining cost is the Cochlear Implant itself. project reportread updates from the field
