New Life Home Trust exists to rescue abandoned and other vulnerable babies, provide them with high standards of care, and place them into loving family situations, either through biological family reintegration, foster care, or adoption. We work tirelessly to see that rescued infants are given the opportunity to thrive and to find a place they can call home, and give priority to infants infected or affected by HIV/AIDS.
We believe that no hospital should ever be the permanent home for a baby, even if that baby was abandoned at birth. It was for this reason that New Life Home Trust was founded in 1994, with a particular priority for those babies infected or affected by HIV-AIDS.
Across Kenya, our Baby Rescue Centres serve as 'mini hospitals' where abandoned, malnourished, and HIV-affected babies are nursed to health, as we simultaneously seek families for each little one. Saving and transforming the lives of these infants calls for 24-hour care from nurses + caregivers, daily consultations with doctors, specialized medical equipment, oxygen, medicines, formula, social workers, lawyers, etc. But we consider all of this a small price to pay to give each child 'new life.'
Each child that we rescue is another life saved. When you consider the impact that one single person can have on the world, the long-term impact of our work is staggering. With your help, we are literally changing the world by offering these children a new chance at life - the chance to grow up, learn, and thrive. To date, New Life has rescued nearly 2,000 vulnerable infants, impacting a whole generation of Kenyan children in 24+ years of service.
