The Inspira Youth Center is coming up on its one-year anniversary of operation in Puerto Palomas, Mexico! At the time of writing, we recently passed the ten months mark and are at full participant capacity, serving around 50 disconnected youth with a diverse set of programming.
One participant in particular, our star goalkeeper for the Youth Center soccer team, Efren, lately shows remarkable dedication and development. Through science and sports lessons, the Youth Center has become a sort of second home for him. Every day, he arrives with an infectious curiosity, asking what the day's science experiment will be. Leading his team during soccer matches, he trains hard, cheers on his teammates, and celebrates every play with an energy that reflects his commitment and joy.
With Spring in the air, we are offering even more outdoor and sports activities for different age groups to practice teamwork, stay healthy, and learn new skills. We hope that we will continue to see growth, curiosity, and connection among participants, and soon expand to make space for even more youth who can benefit from our activities.
Happy almost-birthday to Inspira and a big thank-you to our donors and supporters on GlobalGiving who continue to support this important project. We are grateful for your commitment and always happy to answer any questions.
