Dear Donors and Supporters of the Inspira Youth Center,
We are delighted to use this project report to share with you the story of one teen's transformation during his time at Inspira Youth Center. When Ulices first came to us, he was shy and lacking in self-confidence due to the bullying he suffered at school. He came with resolve to improve his physical health through our sports offerings, which he struggled to participate in initially due to self-doubt.
Over time, however - and thanks to the support by coaches and mentors at the youth center leading volleyball and basketball activities - Ulices started to transform. Day by day, he started to move with agility, gained confidence, and became a motivator for other kids. His effort was expansive: he began to participate with more enthusiasm, collaborate with his teammates, and move with ease.
Beyond his physical changes, though, Ulices' biggest reward for his hard work has been his personal and social development. The atmosphere of respect, camaraderie, and joy found in sports has helped him to feel part of a group where everyone uplifts one another. Today, Ulices has not only lost considerable weight, but also uplifts others with his positive, cheerful, and participatory attitude.
The kids who come to our youth center are not just anonymous faces or numbers - they are humans with stories seeking to improve their lives, connect, and learn something new. We are so fortunate to have inspiring youth at Inspira like Ulices, and we are grateful for YOUR support in helping them to access the resources they need to thrive.
So thank you once again for your interest in our project here at Inspira - and as always, if you have questions or want to learn more about what you can do to support us, do not hesitate to reach out.
