Hello our friends and our donors,

Thank you so much for your generous support and for your commitment to support the survivors of genocide in Darfur.

The Darfur Women Network (DWN) is grateful for your donations and support, we are able to provide refugees from Darfur with drinking water. The refugees depend on rainfall to secure drinking water in valleys from July to end of October this year.

Moreover, by the end of October, we are organizing our volunteers to begin cleaning water wells in order for refugees in the camp to have access to clean uncontaminated water. The need for clean water for personal hygiene is at an all-time high due to the world-wide pandemic.

We are grateful for our partnership with GlobalGiving. Facing financial road-blocks not enabling us to help our refugees survive COVID-19 since the breakout of the virus, we received a grant from GlobalGiving that enabled us to continue our mission in providing clean water and solving hygiene problems. We are working on making water and hygiene items available to our beneficiaries to insure their safety against COVID-19.

We shared our report on June 25, 2020 showing that we were unable to provide goods to the survivors of genocide in the camps despite dire needs for food, sanitation, and water due to financial challenges.

Eventually, we will not be able to provide food and the personal protection equipment (PPEs). Your endless support and donations will help us meet an urgent need of soap and water to give refugees the best chance in fighting this pandemic.

Through our strong ties with refugee camps, Darfur Women Network (DWN) is engaged in community outreach to raise awareness to reduce the plight of COVID-19.
