UTTARAYAN SAVE BIRD CAMPAIGN-2019- PHASE II:
(I) PREPARATION OF BIRD RESCUE BOXES OF DIFFERENT SIZES DEPENDING ON DIFFERENT SPECIES BEING RESCUED:-
Our volunteers are busy in preparing cardboard boxes of different sizes for rescuing injured birds on call.
Care is taken that none of the birds experience discomfort or pain while getting transferred to our hospital as they are already in stress due to injury, especially during these month of kite-flying.
Even we have made arrangements for donating rescue boxes to other NGOs whosoever comes to our hospital with such demands.
(ii) PREPARATION OF GAUZE PIECES TO BE USED DURING UTTARAYAN RELATED BIRD INJURIES:
Our Volunteers also are busy preparing Gauze pieces well in advance to help out the doctors, rescuers and follow-up team in preventing bleeding, open wounds and post-surgical treatments of the injured birds .
(iii) DISTRIBUTION OF THANK-LETTERS TO OUR PATRONS AND DONORS:
Our organisation purely depends on the generous donations from our donors, support from our well-wishers and cooperation of our other NGO groups, local community and different philanthropic organisations.
We are really grateful to all these noble souls and so it is our prime duty to thank them heartily through letters .
(iv) TRAINING SESSIONS FOR VOLUNTEERS ON VISITOR MANAGEMENT RELATED TO THE VISIT TO OUR ENTIRE ORGANISATION AS WELL AS ANIMAL INTERACTION AREA:
During Uttarayan, we have thousands of visitors coming for a visit to our entire organisation, whereby, they see us working day and night tackling emergency situations with hundreds of injured bird-cases daily.
Moreover we also arrange live animal interaction area, where different animals and birds are being displayed with information about their behaviour, nutrition and nature.
This brings our visitors close to the world of animals and birds and also they get knowledge about the proper care, handling and treatment of normal as well as sick animals.
All these interactions need to be done efficiently by the volunteer-team so that a correct knowledge is carried by our visitors .
(V) PRE-UTTARAYAN AVIAN INJURY CASES:
We already have started receiving cases of injured birds entangled in harmful kite-flying threads and our volunteers are all scattered through out the city to rescue them on call without wasting precious time to save the lives of these innocent birds.
Most of the cases are arriving from the residential areas as children have started flying kites on terraces without proper knowledge regarding the harm their sport causes to our innocent birds.
Our volunteers and also the local community is very efficient in handling bird injuries and save the bird's life without even intervention of vets .
This has been made possible by our decade long Awareness program to save innocent lives and control the harmful frenzy of celebrating a festival that unnecessarily causes pain to our animals.
Still so much needs to be planned and prepared well in advance for the smooth running of our hospital's round-the-clock work of saving injured lives.
Its a 24x7 work for the entire staff of JIVDAYA as well as our volunteers for which we need your kind support and generosity in the form of donations.
Once again we thank from the bottom of our heart for your constant helping hand on us without which it would have been difficult to run such a big project of saving stray animal lives.
