All Hand and Hearts - Smart Response is on the ground in St. Thomas and St. John, two islands that were absolutely devastated following Hurricanes Irma and Maria. Our teams are completing the critical response work needed to help families recover.
Following the devastation of both Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Maria, families are desperately in need of help. Homes and community spaces are still in need of heavy response work like debris removal and mucking and gutting damaged materials.
All Hands and Hearts teams are on the ground in St. Thomas and St. John assisting in the critical response work needed to get families back in safe and secure spaces. Our teams are out conducting assessments and working to complete muck and guts, debris removal and sanitation.
In order for families to move on and recover the critical response work needs to be completed. Families that are unable to complete this work themselves or cannot afford to pay for this work to be completed will live in unsafe conditions and be unprepared for the next disaster. By assisting families with response activities we are able to provide families with hope and the confidence to recover.
