Dear Donor,
Thanks to your continued support, we are engaging community structures as important partners in Ebola preparedness.
Community leaders, teachers, faith leaders, local volunteers, transport workers, and other trusted individuals can help share accurate health information and encourage families to seek assistance when concerns arise.
Our approach recognizes that public-health messages are more effective when they are communicated through people communities know and trust.
We encourage local leaders to promote hygiene, discourage misinformation, support early reporting, and help reduce stigma toward affected or monitored families.
WHO has emphasized that meaningful community engagement is central to controlling the current Bundibugyo virus disease outbreak.
Your support is helping strengthen local leadership as part of the wider preparedness effort.
