As we continue our work along the Mexico-U.S. border, we are proud to share the latest progress from our Media Classrooms program. Since our last update, our focus has remained on deepening teacher mentorship, securing robust connectivity solutions like satellite internet for remote sites, and guiding educators through personalized learning pathways to ensure technology transforms daily instruction.
Where we stand today:
Several students and dozens of teachers are currently benefiting from our Media Classrooms in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, across the schools "General Francisco J. Mujica," "Adalberto J. Argüelles," and "Francisco Zarco."
Our facilitators have now completed numerous continuous accompaniment sessions as part of the Programa de Fortalecimiento Escolar (PFE), helping teachers integrate technology into their daily lessons.
Teachers continue to advance in the European Framework for Digital Competence (MCDD), with a significant majority of participating educators now operating at the "Integrator" or "Expert" level.
What's new this period: During this cycle, participating educators advanced into specialized workshops, including Google for Education certification paths, reading comprehension platforms, and mathematics reinforcement programs. A key highlight was observing teachers shift from basic computer usage to designing creative, project-based lesson plans that directly boost student engagement and academic curiosity in the classroom.
Looking ahead:
Our vision remains to bring the Media Classroom model to more public schools along the border. With your continued support, we can extend this same transformation — connectivity, training, and mentorship — to the next school on our list.
Thank you for standing with us as we keep closing the digital gap, one classroom at a time. "The sky is the limit."
