Fountains of Hope has been working with Principal Onel to raise funding to provide trucked water on a montly basis. To date, we have only raised the funds necessary to provide two tanks of trucked water on a very infrequent basis.
The school is in the third largest slum in the world and is located on a peninsula that has brackish water (salty water) which is undrinkable. We need sponsors at $50 per month to provide for all the water needs of the 600 elementary and high school studetns. The $50 provides 3000 gallons of trucked-in water which is placed into two large tanks and many buckets. This amount will last for a month.
Once the water is trucked-in and has filled up the water tanks, a Fountains of Hope water purifier system is then used to purify the water. One system can purify up to 3,600 gallons of water per hour using only a cup of salt, water and a 12 volt battery.
We thank you in advance for helping to provide all the water needed for Principal Onel's school. Your gift of just $50 per month will help over 600 children and adults! Thank you!
