Triple Crisis in the Philippines

Save the Children works for and with children everyday and in times of crisis. 

We have appealed and  now we thank you for your support for the recent triple crisis that hit our country:  Your donation which we combined with those from our other donors helped us reach around 30,000 individuals.

To help families affected by Typhoon Tino and Uwan, we provided water and food packs, household kits and hygiene kits; back-to-school and teaching kits; and set-up child-friendly spaces in the municipalities of Campostela, Lilo-an, Balamban, and Asturias in Cebu, in the municipality of Guian in Eastern Samar, and in the municipalities of San Miguel, Viga, Panganiban, Bagamanoc in Catanduanes.

For our earthquake response in Cebu, we provided initial relief to families in evacuation centers in Daanbantayan and Medellin with hygiene kits and food packs, and supported learning continuity of children by providing back-to-school Kits and teaching kits.

These three emergencies represent a quarter of the humanitarian work we did in 2025. It was a challenging year but, we are proud to have been able to  respond to 13 disasters—typhoons, flooding, earthquake, volcanic eruption, and armed conflict—reaching more than 73,000 children and families across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Achieving this in such a challenging year, for organizations like us, highlights the value of our partnership in delivering urgent care to children and communities. Your support made this possible - opening opportunities for children and helping them access the care and services they need to build a brighter future.
