Greetings Friend,
As we come to the end of 2022, we boast of a transformational year that saw us launch projects in Kasese (Western Uganda) and in Busia (Easter Uganda), while continuing the much needed work in all the other regions where we are already established. It is however important to highlight that what we accomplished was only possible because you were standing in solidarity with Uganda Unites.
When we started the this fundraising campaign our target was to only engage in 7 regions of areas most prone to violence in Uganda. We have been able to accomplish this when we visited Busia in Eastern Uganda the 7 and final region we had targeted. The youth we engaged formed 9 peace clubs and those have given birth to 7 new peace clubs.
Below is the Uganda Unites Report Card for 2022
We are proud to see young leaders like Leonard, who joined the peace club program while in high school and now is volunteering to start and lead peace clubs at the University. Our mission is to inspire, equip and connect young people like Leonard to lead the positive change they want in their community and to see this lived out is a huge testiment to why we do what we do.
We thank you for #StandingInSolidarity with us to inspire, equip and connect young people like Leonard. We look forward to continuing this journey with you in 2023.
