Train 400 Youth in Welding Skills

Summary

Many unemployed youth in Ghana lack access to vocational training and income-generating opportunities. Welding is a valuable technical skill that can help young people secure jobs, start businesses, and support their families. This project will provide practical welding training, safety education, tools, and startup support for 400 vulnerable youth to help them build sustainable livelihoods and reduce unemployment.

Challenge

Youth unemployment and poverty continue to affect many communities across Ghana. Many young people are unable to find stable work because they lack technical and vocational skills. Without employment opportunities, many remain financially dependent and vulnerable to long-term economic hardship.

Solution

This project will train 400 youth in welding and metal fabrication skills, including cutting, joining, fabrication, equipment handling, and workplace safety. Participants will receive hands-on practical training, mentorship, and basic startup support to help them gain employment or start small welding businesses.

Long-Term Impact

This project will help 400 youth gain employable welding skills, improve income opportunities, and strengthen economic independence. It will reduce unemployment, support small business creation, and contribute to local economic development in vulnerable communities.
