SUMMARY
- Siaka school has so far received 30 deaf and blind special children aged 5-18 years.
- It is the only center available in the community in Western Kenya Region with 100% local volunteers ( teachers, cooks, care givers ) etc.
- We are supporting the school to give good education to thyis children.
- We also provide them with other basic needs such as food, hygienic materials, clothing etc.
CHALLENGE
- We need help to be able to support and provide them with special stationeries like Braille books, beds, unifroms and other basic needs.
- They need a conducive environment to study which will promote good results and they will not feel stigmatized while growing up.
- The school is still under construction and we lack enough dormitories to receive and accomodate more pupils.
SOLUTION
- We need to support and provide the pupils who are most orphans and some abandoned because of disability to have education.
- We need to provide them with special stationaries, beds, clothing, a dormitory and other basic needs.
- They need a conducive environment to study which we are struggling to build dormotories.
LONG TERM IMPACT
- Through education they will not feel stigmatized while growing up.
- Through this they can contribute much in the society by farming, teaching etc.
