The main goal is to support around 20 blind special children by funding the Siaka School located in western region of Kenya. Through your help we will be able to provide them with special stationery like braille books, beds and other basic needs therefore those lovely children will have a conducive environment to study which will promote good results. They will not feel stigmatized when they grow up and will find a proper place in the society. Disability is not inability!
K.A.G Siaka School for the Blind is situated in rural area in Kenya. Most of these pupils are orphans and some were abandoned by their parents because of their disability or they just cannot afford to cater for their special needs. This prompted the local KAG church and the community to take action and open this center, and make the life of the children better!
Siaka receives 21 blind children aged 5-18 years and it's the only center available in that community, 100% run by local volunteers (teachers, cooks, child care-taker, etc). We are supporting the school, as for a good education these children need special kits such as braille books and braille papers . We also provide them with other basics needs such as food, hygienic products, clothing. The school is still under construction, we lack enough dormitories to receive all the pupils.
K.A.G Siaka special school believes these sensory impaired pupils can do everything except to see. Through education they will not feel stigmatized when they grow up, they will learn that disability is not inability in the society and they can do much with education. Through this they can contribute much in the society by farming, teaching, etc. to help the society
