Time Flies When you're having fun!
The passed few months over Christmas, New Year and the back-to-school rush of January is always very chaotic at TLC. But sooo much fun! Even when we struggle to make it through from one month to the next it's hard to stop smiling and laughing when we are surrounded by so many precious children! Thank you to each an everyone of you who make it possible for us to keep food on the table, provide them a warm bed at night, and most importantly a loving home!
Since our last update we said goodbye to 3 precious children (2 being adopted and 1 reunited with family), and welcomed another 4, including a set of beautiful 7 month old triplets! We are so blessed to be their gaurdians while we look for the best permanent family for them.
At the end of last year we had set a goal to reach an extra 120 Adopt-A-Cot members by the 31st of December last year. This would mean we would be getting a minimum of R50,000 a month (about $4183) in total through our Adopt-A-Cot campaign. While we didn't quite hit the target we made a fair effort and improved by 89 members! What a fantastic blessing!
We continue to strive for a larger support base that will help us improve the care we are able to give the little ones in our nursery and we call on all our exsisting supporters in helping us achieve this goal. If each one of our exsisting supporters could recruit a friend, family member or colleague to join our Adopt-A-Cot campaign our support base will be doubled! How amazing would that be!
This year we are looking to launch our new "TLC Cot Crusaders" Ambassadors program, to formalize a program through which TLC supporters can fundraise and recruit new adopt-a-cot members on our behalf. If you are interested in joining please feel free to contact me for more details!
That being said, we are so amazingly grateful for each and everyone of you in whatever capacity you are able to support us. Even though to some it may seem like a small contribution we value it immensely and can confidently testify to the power of crowdfunding.
