The Institute of Multi-Track is pleased to announce our new project for Tibetan diplomats. Conducting Tibetan Diplomacy Within a new Global Economic Order training will be conducted during the spring of 2015. The objective of this project is to train a select group of Tibetan diplomats in the conduct of diplomacy. Given the lack of equivalent of foreign affairs service for the Tibetan Government-in-exile, this project will focus on training the diplomats in the conduct of diplomacy. The trainers for this project will include Ambassador (Retd.) John McDonald, Dr. Eileen Borris and Prof. Michael. The training will be conducted over ten days in Washington, D.C. for 15 Tibetan diplomats from Europe, USA, Russia and South Asia.
The training will consist of the following modules:
1) Introduction to Diplomacy
2) International Law and New Areas of International Relations
3) International Organizations
4) Defence and Security
5) Diplomatic Practice and Protocol
6) Special Diplomatic Skills
7) Representational Entertainment and Decor
8) Culture and Diplomacy
9) Diplomatic Exercises
10) Technical/Language Skills
The project is being conducted in collaboration with the Tibetan Government-in-exile with a budget of $120,000. IMTD has organized about $85000 for this project and requires an additional $40000.
With respect to IMTD's Youth Leadership Training with the Tibetan community, the training is scheduled for the summer of 2015. The project will be conducted in collaboration with the Native Youth Leadership Alliance at Dharamsala, India. We have the funds to take care of the travel and accommodation expenses of the participants but still need an additional $1500 to fly down a Native American youth leader who will serve as an example of youth leadership in other contexts of conflict.
Please donate generously to make our project a reality!!
