Dear Sustainable Rural Life friends,
The past months have been very exciting for our VRS team. We helped coordinate the participation of our field colleague U’yool’ché AC to the Renewable Energy workshop at Earth University in Costa Rica. From the 9 to the 12th of March, our friends that work in the Yucatan Peninsula shared their experience and their lessons learned while implementing fuel-efficient stoves throughout rural communities. U’yool’ché also shared with them a practical class where they were able to build from scratch one of their Tuumben K´ooben stoves.
The event gathered a group of enthusiasts from different countries (including Costa Rica, Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and El Salvador), as well as various indigenous communities.
We are ecstatic that our efforts and experience as a project can help communities and families in other countries, helping us make our dream of cleaner kitchens, healthier lives, lower environmental impact, and improved economies grow. We thank you for all your generous donations and hope you continue being part of it.
All the best,
Sustainable Rural Life Team
