Dear Sustainable Rural Life friends,

Happy 2015! We are very excited to continue our work throughout the rural communities of Mexico using environmental technologies that help improve their living conditions. During the last year we saw great success in the subprojects of each of our five allies in the field through numerous capacity building activities and the distribution of numerous solar pots and fuel-efficient stoves.

Additionally, December marked the date when we concluded the required activities and handed in the documentation to certify our ally in the Yucatan Peninsula. Thanks to your support, we are only one step away from gaining the international certification of Gold Standard. In the following months, we will continue to strengthen the local co-op with the aim to build the capacity of local smiths and masons to help reduce costs of the construction of fuel-efficient stoves in the region. In this report, we share a picture taken during our smith workshop.

We wish you all a year full of smiles and achievements, and we thank you again for helping us make our dream of cleaner kitchens, healthier lives, lower environmental impact, and improved economies part of more and more rural families in Mexico. We hope you continue being part of it.

All the best,
