New project starting very soon!
By Francisco Ehrenberg | Special Projects and Innovation Officer
Dear friends,
In the coming weeks, we will kick-start our new project in the northern State of Coahuila. The project--whose overarching goal is to increase community self-reliance in 14 communities through the implementation of appropriate technologies--will begin with the installation of six wood-saving stoves and the construction of a solid waste management module in two of the targeted communities. Expect further updates and photos very soon!
Please consider becoming a recurrent donor to this project and mentioning us to your friends and family. Every one of your generous donations helps us improve the living conditions of some of the most vulnerable segments of the population in Mexico.
Best regards,
Francisco Ehrenberg

December update
By Francisco Ehrenberg | Special Projects and Innovation Officer
Dear Friend,
We would like to thank you for supporting our new project—an initiative that will benefit 14 rural communities in the States of Coahuila and Nuevo Leon, in northern Mexico. Set to start early next year, the project aims to increase community self-reliance through the implementation of small-scale vegetable gardens, rainwater harvesting systems, wood-saving stoves, solar pots, and solid waste management modules.
Following the project, 342 families will have gained the tools to be more self-reliant by increasing their capacity to produce healthy food and obtain clean water. Additionally, the communities will be able to manage solid waste more sustainably, helping them secure a cleaner environment and create new sources of income (e.g. by selling recyclable materials).
Your support helps us improve the living conditions of some of the most vulnerable segments of the population. Thank you for joining us on this journey and please consider renewing your contribution to the project.
Best regards,
Francisco

September update
By Francisco Ehrenberg | Special Projects and Innovation Officer
Dear friends,
Last June we informed you about our new project in northern Mexico--an initiative that will benefit 14 rural communities located in the states of Coahuila and Nuevo León. The project's objective is to increase water and food security through the creation of small-scale community farms and the construction of rainwater harvesting systems.
While we boost our efforts to mobilize enough resources from Mexican donors to implement this project, we would like you to continue with us on this journey. Every one of your donations matters and is a fundamental part of our mission to improve the living conditions of some of the most vulnerable segments of the population.
We would also like to let you know that, thanks to your support, our previous project in the Yucatan Penninsula has been selected by the Canadian Embassy in Mexico to be featured in a series of media and news outlets. During the first quarter of 2019, a group of reporters will visit some of the communities we've worked with in that region to let the public know about the great work that was made possible thanks to your generous donations.
Thank you!
