Dear friends,
We want to tell you that with your contribution and all of the citizens who donated to our project, in November 15th: teachers, students, volunteers and ‘Educación 2020’ could renovate the school 'Eleuterio Ramirez' in Valparaiso. We managed to paint the classrooms and the court, we changed the floor of kindergarten, repaired the bathrooms, put lights in the classrooms, renewed the mural with the School Name and placed a perimeter fence for security of property.
The Director of the School, Rosa Silva, said that "the school has a new face, I'm sure that this will be reflected, not only in increasing enrollment, but also it will affect how our students will enjoy and learn".
After the journey, the children shared their views. Matías - 7th grade- told us that "With these changes, the School is nice. It makes that you take care the school. Now I want to come here". And the educator of kindergarten told us the children care their classroom and they tell everyone who wants to come in, that they have to clean their feet before entering.
Because of you, we did this activity in order to allowing that these children could study in the best possible conditions, in a safe, happy and cute school. Thank you very much for your support!

Renovación de la escuela Eleuterio Ramírez
Queridas amigas y amigos,
Queremos contarte que gracias a tu aporte y al de todos los ciudadanos que donaron a nuestro proyecto, el día 15 de noviembre, profesores, alumnos, voluntarios y E2020 se unieron en una gran jornada para renovar la escuela pública 'Eleuterio Ramírez', Valparaíso. Se pintaron las salas y la multicancha, se cambió el piso de la sala de kinder, se arreglaron baños, luces para las salas, el jardín, se donaron libros para la biblioteca, renovaron el mural con el nombre de la escuela y se colocó un cierre perimetral para la seguridad del establecimiento.
La Directora de la Escuela, Rosa Silva, dijo que “la escuela tiene una nueva cara, estoy segura que esto se va a reflejar no sólo en la matrícula, sino también en el día a día, en cómo nuestros alumnos podrán disfrutar y aprender en un espacio totalmente renovado”.
Posterior a la jornada, los niños nos compartieron sus opiniones. Matías del 7° contó que "Ahora, con todo lo que ayudaron, quedó bonita. Dan ganas de cuidarla, antes no. Dan ganas de venir". Y la educadora de los niños de kínder nos contó que los niños cuidan muchísimo su sala, y le dicen a cada persona que quiera entrar, que se limpie los pies, y si no, los hacen devolverse hasta entrar con los pies limpios.
Gracias a ustedes pudimos realizar esta actividad con el objetivo de que los niños y niñas estudien en las mejores condiciones posibles, en un colegio seguro, alegre y lindo, donde se sientan a gusto. ¡Muchas gracias por su apoyo!
