Supporting victims of the fire in Valparaiso-Chile

¡Seguimiento de acciones en conjunto con el Municipio de Valparaíso para determinar el uso de recursos!

Queridas amigas y amigos:

En este segundo reporte queremos informarles los pasos que se han realizado para llevar acabo la ejecución del fondo reunido. En primer lugar, contarles que ¡tenemos establecimiento educacional donde elaborar nuestro plan de trabajo!

El día 30 de Septiembre viajamos a la ciudad de Valparaíso, específicamente al Colegio Eleuterio Ramírez, donde nos reunimos con Rosa Silva Verdejo, Directora del establecimiento educacional. Durante el día recorrimos cada pasillo, evidenciando las necesidades asociadas. Al finalizar el día, en un trabajo conjunto con la comunidad educativa, se determinó un plan de trabajo enfocado en la infraestructura del establecimiento en cuatro ítem principales.

• Fachada: reacondicionar la pintura de la totalidad del establecimiento (aprox 1.000mts2).
• Servicios higiénicos: acondicionar baños de edad inicial y básica.
• Luminaria: rehabilitar luminaria precaria en salas de clase.
• Jardinería: construcción de terraza al aire libre y desmalezar entradas principales.

El plan de trabajo será ejecutado el día 15 de noviembre, mediante la conformación de cuadrillas de voluntarios que implican directivos, docentes, alumnos, apoderados y staff de Educación 2020.

New actions to determine use of resources!

Dear Friends:

In this second report, we will inform you all the steps that we have been made for the implementation of the fund. First, we want to tell you that we've already selected the educational establishment where we’ll work!

On September 30, we traveled to Valparaiso, specifically Eleuterio Ramirez School, where we met with Rosa Silva Verdejo, Director of the educational establishment. During the day, we analyze the entire property to find most urgent requirements. Finally, together with the educational community, we decided a work plan. This is focused on infrastructure establishment in four main items:

• Facade: we’ll paint the entire property (approx 1.000mts2).
• Toilets: we’ll fix baths of children of initial and basic education levels.
• Luminaire: we’ll rehabilitate precarious fixture in classrooms.
• Garden: we’ll build outdoor terrace and we’ll improve the main entrance.

The work plan will be implemented on 15 of November by teams of volunteers, administrators, teachers, students, parents and staff of Educación2020.
