Thanks to supporters like you, 7000 Languages is preparing to launch our next Language Revitalization Fellowship cohort this June! Over the next 10 weeks, we will support three fellows as they work to create digital language-learning materials for California Indigenous languages, helping strengthen access to language education and community-led revitalization efforts.
Throughout the fellowship, participants will receive training, mentorship, and financial support as they develop online language resources that can be used by learners, families, educators, and community members. By the end of August, these fellows will have made meaningful progress toward creating tools that support language learning and help sustain vital cultural knowledge for future generations.
Every fellowship represents more than the creation of a digital resource—it is an investment in community leadership, intergenerational learning, and the long-term future of Indigenous languages. We are excited to introduce this year’s fellows in the coming months and to share updates on their progress as they move through the program. Thank you for being part of this work and helping make community-led language revitalization possible.
