By Jerome Kabakyenga | Project Leader
Dear GlobalGiving Family,
Three students that were supported by GlobalGiving in early 2023 were part of the 1200 graduands that graduated with various certificates at the 3rd graduation ceremony of Mayanja Memorial Medical Training Institute on the 24th November 2023. The three students were overjoyed by the ceremony and expressed thanks to GlobalGiving for having provided the support that finally pushed them through the training to become certified nurses. The graduates are now in the process of applying to the national nursing council for registration. Upon completion of the registration they will be ready to join the world of work.
Mayanja Memorial Hospital Foundation extends thanks to the GlobalGiving community for all the support extended.
Sincerely,
Jerome Kabakyenga

"l may never have been able to complete my course"
By Jerome Kabakyenga | Project Leader
Mayanja Memorial Hospital Foundation extends warm greetings to GlobalGiving Family.
The year 2023 is in the last quarter and gradually coming to an end. Uganda is slowly recovering from the effects of COVI-19 pandemic. The Foundation is continuing to receive requests for support towards meeting tuition fees for vulnerable students from Mayanja Memorial Training Institute.
On the bright side, one of the students who was supported through GlobalGiving Support recently managed to complete the national examinations and is in the process of registering with the Nursing Council. Here is a statement in his own words: “I can't even begin to explain how much their (GlobalGiving) help means to me. I am very grateful for the financial contribution made in support of my education at MTI (Mayanja Memorial Medical Training Institute). Without that help, l may never have been able to complete my course in time. Your generosity and assistance have been an inspiration to me. I am forever indebted to you for your parental support.”

By Jerome Kabakyenga | Project Leader
Dear GlobalGiving Family,
Greetings from Mayanja Memorial Hospital Foundation. The Nursing programme students at Mayanja Memorial Hospital Foundation have completed the end of Semester Examinations. The three students who were supported in the recent past have completed their end of course national examinations. Results from those examinations are expected in 3 months’ time. When results are out and the students are successful, they will embark on a process of registration with the Uganda Nursing Council. The registration certificate will enable them to practice nursing at enrollment level and they will seek employment in public or private health institutions. The students have extended thanks to GlobalGiving for the funding that enabled them to complete their courses. Similarly, from Mayanja Memorial Hospital Foundation we extend thanks to GlobalGiving for having supported the students that have completed their courses.
