Programa Genio conducted a one-day training on stress management and digital empowerment for 80 Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) serving as ALS assistant teachers at the Iwahig Prison and Penal Farm. The activity aimed to help participants better manage stress while strengthening their roles as educators inside the facility.
One of the highlights of the program was the Building Bridges workshop, where participants shared challenges and coping strategies as PDL teachers. The event also marked the turnover of fifty (50) tablets to support digital literacy and learning for PDL teachers and learners, helping improve access to educational resources and digital skills.
Participants expressed gratitude for the training and tablet donation, describing the initiative as a source of hope, empowerment, and opportunity for growth and reintegration. Through this initiative, Programa Genio of the ABS-CBN Foundation continues to support inclusive education and personal development among PDL learners and educators.
