Training in Davao
Programa Genio seeks to support schools in their mission to become inclusive institutions where every individual, irrespective of their background, is nurtured holistically. Through collaborative efforts with educators, parents, and the wider community, we strive to create educational spaces that are not only centers of learning but also havens of support and inspiration for all.
Your support helped Programa Genio hold its training sessions in Bukidnon and Davao in the previous months.
The focus of these training was on building emotional resilience among alternative learning education teachers from different schools and communities, equipping them with invaluable tools to navigate the challenges inherent in their profession. A total of 469 teachers were trained. The training took on a profound significance as it provided crucial support to educators, some of whom were directly affected by the tragic Masara landslide in Davao de Oro.
The training delved deep into various strategies for stress management, coping mechanisms, and fostering resilience. Through interactive workshops and insightful discussions, teachers gained practical skills that they could immediately apply in their classrooms.
The impact of this training extended far beyond the classroom walls. By empowering educators to navigate their own emotional well-being, Programa Genio has not only ensured the continuity of education for affected learners but has also laid the groundwork for long-term resilience within the community.
Thank you, for making a meaningful difference in the lives of teachers and students alike.
