Programa Genio has empowered over 500 Alternative Learning System (ALS) learners who are Persons Deprived of Liberty at BJMP Davao by introducing robotics and automation in partnership with Erovoutika, equipping them with future-ready technical and livelihood skills.
Learners have explored how automation can be applied to hydroponics, aquaculture, and water circulation systems used in vegetable production and tilapia breeding. As part of this initiative, a dedicated hands-on area for hydroponics and aquaculture will be established within BJMP Davao, providing learners with practical experience.
Through this collaboration with Erovoutika, the Bureau of Corrections, and Davao ALS, Programa Genio fosters second chances by equipping learners with the skills needed for successful reintegration into society.
