In the community of Rodeopamba, threads have become symbols of hope, creativity, and collective work. On this special occasion, members of the Makiami – Yubiami project gathered at the community center to share the fruits of their learning with family and friends: an exhibition full of color, tradition, and pride.
Hats, scarves, and beautiful ponchos in various colors and textures were presented to an excited audience. Each piece was carefully woven by hands that, just a few months ago, were taking their first steps in the art of weaving. Today, these hands transform yarn into art—and art into opportunity.
This gathering was not only a display of talent, but also of community. The smiles, applause, and words of encouragement heard in the community center remind us why this project is so valuable.
Thanks to your generous support, these families have access to training, materials, and safe spaces where they can grow and express themselves through textile art. Your donation makes it possible for Makiami – Yubiami to continue being a driving force of empowerment and local development.
We continue walking this journey with you. Thank you for being part of this transformation!
This is just another beautiful chapter in the story we are weaving together.
