Greetings of the day!
I am Jaya, a beneficiary of Udayan Care Computer Learning Centre (Uttam Nagar), I have recently completed my Tally ERP 9 course from Udayan Care IT Center and have started working with a renowned CA firm as a trainee-accounts with good entry level stipend. This is a great opportunity for me to build up my career in the field of accounting which is related to my academic study. I belong to West Bengal but I grew up in Uttam Nagar (West Delhi) and have completed my intermediate from state government school and started pursuing my graduation in commerce stream through distance learning programme from Delhi University.
In the final week of my course, I got an opportunity to attend a workshop which was based on "Financial Literacy". This session was structured to cover the basic components of finance like ESI, PF, HR policy and through this session, I was able to understand how to manage the expenditure. The session was held at the head office of Udayan Care (Chittranjan Park, South Delhi) with the help of 3 Chartered Accountants, Shreya, Shravan and Arushi who are working in the finance department of different multinational companies. The main objective of this workshop was to give us exposure and to make us more familiar with the industry trends before joining a job. Me, along with my 11 batch mates with Udayan Care's other job-specific center’s students attended this workshop. It was really an interactive session to resolve all our queries which were related to HR & basics of finance. On the same day, I met a guy, name Sourav, who recently got enrolled in the new batch of Diploma in Information Technology (DIT) at Uttam Nagar IT Center. During the workshop interval, we had a conversation where he, along with his batch mates, got an opportunity to participate in a social campaign. This campaign was organized on the occasion of "No World Tobacco Day" to create awareness about the harmful effects of consuming tobacco and similar products. He also shared that the campaign was coordinated by Archana (soft skills faculty-UC IT Center), where they decided to prepare a street play (Nukkad Naatak) and perform it at the Metro Station as to spread awareness among the people who could see them performing.
I could imagine how interesting the activity must have been as the excitement was quite evident on Sourav's face while he was sharing his experience on the same. We really feel proud when we see how Udayan Care members are unceasingly working to build our capacity for making our career bright in the emergent sector, simultaneous they are also working to make us good human being and to work for the upliftment of the society.
