Greetings of the day to all,

Hello everyone! My name is Raju (name changed). I connected with Udayan Care’s West Delhi IT Center in 2022. Since I completed my schooling and enrolled in Delhi University’s distance learning program, I was constantly searching for a platform where I could attend computer course training. However, financial constraints hindered my ability to join a commercial institute. My persistent search led me to Udayan Care’s IT Centre when my father, who works as an E-Rickshaw driver, noticed their banner and encouraged me to visit the center.

During the admissions counseling, the IT trainer recommended that I join the 3-month Tally Prime course, considering my pursuit of a commerce degree. With dedication and the efforts of my trainer, I was selected to join a CA firm called Neeraj Bhagat & Co. located in Dwarka, West Delhi, as a trainee accountant with a stipend of Rs. 6,000 per month.

During my internship, I diligently worked on every project assigned by my seniors. My hard work paid off when, within a year, the firm offered me a full-time position with a monthly salary of Rs. 20,000. I was overjoyed and decided to share my happiness with my trainers, who had prepared me for this opportunity.

After completing my office shift, I visited the center, where I met with XYZ Sir (Sr. Program Coordinator), who was discussing the 1st Accounting Skills Competition. He invited me to be a part of it, as it was planned for the weekend. I gladly accepted the invitation to attend the event. Udayan Care believes in following trends to enhance the extraordinary knowledge of the youth enrolled in Udayan Care's IT centers. The aim is to provide them with specific skill set training to help build their careers in growing sectors.

Keeping in mind the holistic development of youth, the IT Program team came up with the idea of organizing a competition specifically for students pursuing the Accounts Executive (Tally Prime) courses in Udayan Care IT Centers. The objective was to encourage them to improve their theoretical accounting knowledge, which would enhance the quality of their accounting work in their future jobs in accounting and finance.

After a rigorous selection process, 42 students from 15 IT centers were selected as finalists. The competition comprised six parts, which helped determine the winners and runners-up. The event was attended by the assistant director of the UCIT Program, the assistant director of the HR & Volunteers Dept, and five Udayan Care IT Centre alumni, including myself. We were there to motivate the existing students to focus on learning, which would aid their growth in the field of accounting and finance.

The event concluded with the announcement of the winners, who received gold, silver, and bronze medals along with gift cards. After this wonderful event, I learned about another event called the Grand Alumni Meet, which is the highlight of the year organized by the Udayan Care IT Centre program. Alumni used to share stories about it during their visits to the center.

On January 28, 2024, the Udayan Care IT Centre team successfully hosted the "4th Grand Alumni Meet" with the theme "Let's Reveal the Charm of Success." The event took place at the Arya Auditorium in South Delhi and was attended by 450+ alumni participants from 21 IT centers across 6 states of India. Additionally, there were 60 guests, including funding partners, the Udayan Care Board of Trustees, advisory members, Udayan Ghar mentor mothers and senior alumni, Udayan Shalini Fellowship (USF) conveners and senior alumni, the senior leadership team, directors, and volunteers.

During the grand opening ceremony, 41 students from 6 IT centers showcased remarkable performances. Another activity aimed to recognize the outstanding efforts of the top 12 alumni in giving back to society, who were awarded the title of Alumni of the Year 2024. Furthermore, the top 8 employers, including 3i Infotech, Cliq India Media Pvt Ltd., Adroit, RNFI Services Pvt Ltd., SMC Insurance, My Money Mantra, Tatwa Technologies Pvt Ltd., and Business Connect, were acknowledged and rewarded with tokens of appreciation. Additionally, 5 Udayan Care IT Centre staff members received the title of Employee of the Year for their contributions beyond their job roles.

Overall, it was an amazing event, and I am eagerly looking forward to being part of the upcoming Grand Alumni Meet.
