A Breath of Hope: Baby Adham's Journey to Healing!

By Baraa Ali | Fundraising Officer

Dear Supporter,

We bring you a moment of quiet victory—the gentle rise and fall of baby Adham’s tiny chest, each breath a sign of renewed life. Born prematurely at 34 weeks, Adham took his first breaths in one of our hospitals in northern Syria, where he faced an uphill battle against severe respiratory distress. From the very start, he relied on mechanical ventilation, life-saving surfactant therapy, and intensive cardiac support.

Yet, through every challenge, a steadfast will to survive has kept hope alive. Today, just eight days later, Adham is showing promising signs of improvement. He’s nearly ready to come off the ventilator and is now able to digest milk through a gastric tube. Although he’s still fighting a blood infection, careful treatment and round-the-clock monitoring allow us to believe in a brighter tomorrow.

Your kindness and generosity have helped transform fear into hope. Each breath Adham takes carries the warmth of your support, and every life-saving intervention is made possible by your compassion. You’ve helped shift a family’s tears from fear to gratitude.

But Adham’s story is just one of many. There are countless other children across northern Syria, each waiting for their chance at a healthier life.

Extend your kindness once more and help another child breathe easier.

With heartfelt gratitude,
