Dear Partner,
We are delighted to share a heartwarming progress update on our Leadership Skills Program, one of our most transformative initiatives for building girls’ confidence, voice and leadership potential.
The girls who participated in this program have made remarkable strides. Many joined shy, unsure of themselves, and hesitant to speak. Today, they stand with confidence, use their voices boldly, and are beginning to see themselves as leaders who can influence change in their communities.
The transformation has been powerful and deeply inspiring.
As the group practiced their leadership affirmations during one of the sessions, Zainab placed her hand over her heart and declared in a strong, unwavering voice:
“I am a girl and of course my voice needs to be heard!”
This powerful affirmation has now become the rallying cry among our girls, echoing through every session:
“I am a girl.”
“I can achieve anything I set my mind to.”
“My voice deserves to be heard.”
Listen to Girls Affirmation Here
These affirmations are more than words, they are becoming their identity.
Girls who once felt invisible now speak with courage.
Girls who feared judgment now lead group discussions.
Girls who doubted themselves now believe in their own potential.
Thanks to your ongoing support, the girls have gained vital skills that will help them succeed far beyond the classroom:
Your support is shaping girls who are not just learning to lead but are learning to believe in themselves.
At a time when many girls across Nigeria face disruptions, fear, and declining self-confidence due to insecurity and school shutdowns, this program is a lifeline.
Every girl who stands and declares, “My voice must be heard,” is reclaiming her power.
Every girl who builds confidence is securing her future.
Every girl who learns to lead is strengthening her community.
This progress is what your generosity makes possible.
