Nourish Eco Village: 2023 - 2024 Social Impact ReportNutrition and Food Security

  • 143,616 healthy meals provided to vulnerable children and community members.
  • 600 kg of healthy vegetables harvested from our own farms for the food program.
  • 38 fruit trees planted in Sigagule and Makrepeni Eco Villages.
  • 6 veggie gardens built by Nourish volunteers, supporting food security in local communities.

Education and Child Development

  • 62 children received affordable Early Childhood Development (ECD) education.
  • 420 children supported with Moringa supplements through outreach programs.
  • 4,860 children received environmental education through the Green Kidz school outreach.
  • 10 creches supported with resources and play-learning support through the RISE outreach program.
  • 397 children received homework support, creative, sport, and eco-development through the Green Kidz Club.
  • 300 children participated in conservation/nature-oriented Green Kidz field trips.
  • 32 students benefited from computer-based math workshops.

Youth Empowerment and Job Creation

  • 200 beneficiaries supported through jobs created by Nourish initiatives.
  • 31 youth hosted in job-shadowing and learnership programs.
  • 72 individuals benefited from skills development workshops/training (hospitality, sewing, baking, entrepreneurship, crafting, carpentry, basic construction).

Health and Well-being

  • 1,200 reusable sanitary pads distributed to teen girls, helping them stay in school.
  • 40 Girls educated on HIV, unprotected sex, and teenage pregnancy.

Animal Welfare and Environmental Conservation

  • 460 animals vaccinated, treated, or sterilized to improve community animal welfare.
  • 12 snares removed to protect local wildlife.
  • 648 kg of waste collected and recycled through community clean-up efforts.
  • 11 clean-up/plogging days organized to collect litter in the villages.
  • 42 animal outreach days held to educate the community on animal kindness and care.

Community Infrastructure Development

  • 6 playgrounds built by Nourish volunteers, enhancing the lives of 516 children in local communities.

Nourish Eco Village is deeply committed to creating sustainable change through integrated, community-centered solutions. This impact report highlights our achievements in 2023 and underscores the vital role of social investment in driving positive social and environmental outcomes.
