In this second quarter of the year we are trying to eliminate underskilled and under equipped caregivers and teachers that many creches have in the impoverished areas of our country by offering workshops that will help them better understand their roles when it comes to early childhood development and we are also highlighting that children can learn while playing.

Last year August we were fortunate enough to have a volunteer (Renee Bonne) that many children in our creche referred to as "Teacher R" who is so passionate about early childhood development and children in general.Teacher R worked around building and creating a Toolkit that is made from recycled materials in order to help children develop a set of skills while playing and this toolkit will help to develop the children’s Cognitive movement, Emotions, and develop their Motor skills through playing.

Our Rise creche principal Bridget Matosse and our community outreach manager Benneth Mathebula conducted a workshop for six different creches around acornhoek and this workshop was focusing on the importance of learning through play and how playing can develop children’s different skills; and each of these creches were gifted a box of a play toolkit to use in their own creches. And we are looking forward into seeing the improvements from the children whose creches have received these play toolkits and also we will be working towards teaching other creches  how to creat their own play toolkits using recycled materials and homemade toys.

Celebration
Celebration

Our year at the Nourish RISE creche always ends in a very special way - with our little ones graduating to go into Grade R at a local primary school. This is an auspicious event and a joyous occassion, one that deserves much wooping and celebration. Young minds progressing, flourishing and embarking on an educational journey should always be celerabated and our team and the parents do this well! Adorable graduation gowns, serious little faces as they recite proudly their learned poems or alphabet, and lots of food, music, joy, treats, gifts, certificates and happiness.

We are honoured through Sponsor a Child programs and through the support of each of you to continue to be an early childhood development institution and to continue providing children with a safe, fun space to grow, learn, and flourish in their lives!

A BIG THANK YOU FROM MY HEART TO YOURS!

We really believe that Rise creche is a safe place for children because our teachers are doing their best by caring for them and teaching.a huge thank you to all our donors your support really makes things for us. This year we built a very nice playground for the kids and also painted our creche to be incredibly beautiful . We still provide them   with a daily meal and snack for the kids . We also get clothes donations to give to them.

Rise creche has been so great and this year we have 22 graduates who will get school uniforms for the grade R so that their parents don't worry about  buying school uniforms for them.

Thank you for your love and support. We really appreciate it because it really keeps us going and standing.

Kind regards

The Nourish Team

Since  this year 2022 has started we have managed to do a lot of things at our Rise creche. We got sponsored to build a very nice and cool playground for the kids and they really loved it. We made nice Orange Rise T shirts for the kids and creche teachers. They really look nice in them. We were able to buy more learning book activities and toys . We are still able to give their kids their daily meal, fruit and snack. We give them fresh veggies from our little garden. We teach them some exercises during the week. We wash their face shield hats when they are dirty.

We would really like to thank our donors for making things possible for us. If it wasn't because of your support and love we wouldn't be where we are today. Our early childhood development program has improved so much this year and we hope to do  more of the good things we are doing and hope you continue supporting Nourish.

Kind regards

Last year 2021 was a good year and we had a good ending and we are hoping for the same this year 2022 as we registered a lot of new kids which gives us a number of 51 kids in total and we aim to do even more better this year by always putting our rise creche kids first .

it is important to us to provide quality education and proper nutritious food to the kids and ensure they are safe at the creche premesis. Our dedicated teachers are also ready and energitic to start the new year by giving their level best to teach the kids and give them the best and quality education. We made a very nice play ground and the kids really love it.Our teachers still follow the covid 19 rules by making sure the kids wear their masks, wash their hands and they always make sure the kids toilets are clean.

Please check out our kids's cute photos and their beautiful play ground.

Thank you so much for supporting Nourish.
