Report – Support for Teens

We are presenting our report for this period of COVID pandemic. 

As the COVID -19 virus is spreading around the world our students who have gone outside to take further education of their interest forced to return to their home Gokul during this Pandemic situation. During this period a cyclonic storm, Nisarga managed to damage the infrastructure of the area around the Bhugaon where our centre is located. This caused power failure for six days in the area. Fortunately our students came up with the brilliant idea, and made an inverter which helped to power their rooms light. Weare in awe of the perfection with which our students have designed the idea for this inverter and are proud of the insight that went into building this project. 

In the same way our 3 students who are appearing for advance diploma in fashion designing have drawn the excellent sketches and have presented their creativity in a very remarkable way. It has really brought out the artist in them.  They have made cotton masks of different designs and have painted T-shirts in a very ingénues way.

Manavya is very proud of our budding scientists who have emerged as a result of this lockdown.    

We are glad to share our report with you all. Your support has been instrumental in building confidence among the teenagers of Manavya in order to advocate for their various support.

Acadamic Growth:

• As we know in the last quarter  one of our girl has completed her three months vocational course of “Bedside Care Giver”. Now she got trained in the few nursing techniques such as she can do dressing, can give injection, to give timely medicines to the small kids, she is also learning from our senior Nurse how to maintain the stock of regular medicines, how to prepare medicine demand list, how to fill up the medical register etc.

• Our two girls taking education in the field of Electronic Engineering & moved to “Student Welfare Association”. They are now settled down in the student welfare association hostel and doing their studies very well. They have also started earning some stipend from the scheme of Earn while Learn. They are started to save their money for their future goal. We are happy to seen them enough matured as they have started to think about their future and initiated saving by their own.

They are also participating in the exhibitions arranged by association. They prepare various types of Handmade Bags, purses, jewelry for the exhibition.

SPECIAL EVENTS OF THIS QUARTER FOR SUPPORT TO TEENS:

TARUNYABHAN WORKSHOP – DR. BANG

We have organized a “Tarunyabhan Workshop” of Dr. Bang (Search Foundation) and her team from 23^rd January to 25^th January, 2020 at Manohar Mangal Hall, Pune.

The workshop is mainly arranged for HIV infected & affected adolescent children between 13 to 18 years of age group.  There were around 100 children participated in the workshop.

The main purpose of the workshop was to provide scientific guidance on the various problems of children of adolescent age. Dr. Bang and her team members guided children through various motivational short video films & fun games.

The workshop has certainly been a great benefit to the children. We see a good change in their behavior. Children have started to think very positively. The children experienced this unique workshop that motivated and guided them to think right and in a positive way in their minds.
