Raising The Teenager

By Sushama Apte | Project Manager

“We cannot always build the Future for our Youth, but we can build our Youth for the Future !!”

We always look after on  6 aspects i.e Advice,Help,Tips, Support, Assistanc,Guidence etc for our Teens. It is very important to support children in their adolescent age as they are on very important path of their life.

Following are some highlights related to our children.

  • Our girl Komal completed her 18 years in the Manavya & now restore to her family. Her brother was very happy to take her home. We consider this as our achievement as we talked to her brother so many times that how she needs a family for her better future. Now Komal started living with her two brothers happily & we enrolled her name in our    “Unnati Support Group” for our children who gone out from Manavya after the age of 18 years.  Komal wants to do the carrier in the Yoga field & to became a ‘Yoga Instructor’ in future hence we gave her a 2 months course for Yoga Instructor in Skills Factory Institute, which is government certified institute. They will give her placement as Yoga Trainer after completing the course.
  • Our two girls are interested to do diploma in Fashion Designing. For this they have started taking basic education in the field of tailoring. Now they can stitch Salwar -Kurtis, Blouse, vegetable Bags, and Floor Mat for their home “GOKUL” as well as for outside customers. Our staff & teachers are there to guide them & help them.

Apart from this, in this quarter we have arranged a painting workshop for the children.

  • Our volunteer “Ms. Prema Railkar & hear Team conducted the session for our children. She has her own painting academy, “SOUL WALL”.  Children enjoyed the workshop a lot as well as draw & painted beautiful pictures.

We assure you that your support will definitely go a long way in empowering Orphan & HIV positive neglected children with education. We thank GlobalGiving and each individual donor for their generous support.
