Many women in rural Ghana struggle with unemployment, low income, and limited economic opportunities. Poultry farming can provide a reliable source of income and food, but many women lack the resources and training needed to start. This project will support 250 vulnerable women with poultry farming training, chicks, feed, and startup assistance to help them build sustainable livelihoods and improve household income.
Women in poor communities often face financial hardship and limited access to income-generating opportunities. Many lack vocational skills, startup capital, and access to sustainable farming activities that can support their families. Without stable income, many households struggle to afford food, healthcare, and education for their children.
This project will train women in poultry farming, animal care, business management, and sustainable farming practices. Beneficiaries will receive chicks, feed, vaccines, and basic poultry equipment to help them start small poultry businesses. The project will also provide ongoing mentorship and technical support to improve productivity and income generation.
This project will help 250 women build sustainable livelihoods through poultry farming, increase household income, improve food security, and strengthen economic independence. It will also create long-term opportunities for women to support their families and contribute to local economic development.
