SuMargadarshak - Scholarship & Mentoring program

SuMargadarshak is a scholarship and mentoring program designed to support the transition from college to university. An extension of SuKallp, it focuses on the formative teen years, fostering a safe and supportive environment where teens can express themselves and receive guidance toward success.Students in SuMargadarshak receive training in their college curriculum, along with classes in personality development, values, goal-setting, skills development, career guidance, and mentoring, led by volunteers from various companies.In 2023-24, we proudly achieved a 79% pass rate for 10th-grade students, many of whom were accepted into top colleges. These students are now part of SuMargadarshak, where they continue to enhance their skills through training in design thinking, social media, and art therapy workshops. Additionally, they helped school students perform a song about the preamble to the constitution.

The students of Sumargadarshak are currently pursuing a diverse range of academic disciplines, including Humanities, Science, Education, Arts, Computer Applications, Microbiology, Commerce, Journalism, and Psychology. As they approach their semester examinations, we extend our heartfelt wishes for success and achievement. These students have demonstrated resilience, hard work, and dedication throughout the semester, and we are confident that their efforts will shine through in their upcoming exams. 1.  Art therapy Workshop (7th July 2024)

On 07 July 2024, Ms. Asha Ma’am  conducted a Creative Expression & Art Assessment Workshop for 38 SuMargadarshak students, aimed at assessing art skills, fostering creativity, and introducing Indian folk art. The workshop included three engaging sessions:

1. Session 1:
   Students explored creativity through themed artwork on nature, emotions, and dreamland. They were also divided into groups for a creativity test, where they created short stories with illustrations based on random words. This session encouraged collaboration and sparked laughter with funny and imaginative stories.
2. Session 2:
   The second session introduced Gond Art, inspired by Jangarh Singh Shyam, a renowned artist from the Gond tribe. Students learned about the vibrant colors and dot patterns characteristic of Gond art and then created their own designs. They also participated in a quiz to reinforce their understanding of Gond art.
3. Session 3:
   In the final session, students applied their knowledge of Gond art by creating their own pieces using art supplies. This allowed them to experiment with new ideas and patterns, producing beautiful and expressive artwork.

The workshop was a success, providing students with a deeper understanding of Gond art and offering them a fun, hands-on experience in creative expression.

2. Founders Day - 01st August 2024

On August 1st the SuMargadarshak Students gathered to celebrate and honor Miss Krupa Ma'am, the visionary founder of our school. The event, filled with gratitude and admiration, began with a warm introduction by Miss Vinoliya, setting the tone for the celebration.The celebration featured a heartfelt musical tribute to Miss Krupa, followed by speeches from students and staff, reflecting on how her guidance has shaped their lives. The cultural performances were a highlight, showcasing the talents of Sukrupa students. A mesmerizing group song medley by the Sumargadharsak students celebrated unity in diversity. Dance performances included a classical piece by senior students, an energetic mash-up by the boys, and a lively non-classical routine by the junior girls.The event concluded with a collective acknowledgment of Miss Krupa's transformative impact on students, emphasizing her dedication to education, resilience, and community service, which are the foundation of Sukrupa’s success.

The students of Sumargadarshak are currently pursuing a wide array of academic disciplines, including Humanities, Science, Education, Arts, Computer Applications, Microbiology, Commerce, Journalism, and Psychology. As the semester examinations approach, we want to extend our warmest wishes for success and accomplishment. In addition, we are proud to announce that six talented young women have successfully graduated this year and have begun their professional journeys, securing positions in various fields. These students have shown remarkable resilience, determination, and dedication throughout the semester, and we are confident that their hard work will be reflected in their upcoming exams. We wish all our students the very best as they reach this significant academic milestone and continue to strive for excellence in their future endeavors.

Alumni Success 

Senora has been an integral part of the Sumargadarshak Program for the past six years, and we are incredibly proud of her achievements. Currently, she is pursuing her Master's in Sports and Exercise Psychology in Chennai, a testament to her passion and dedication to her field. Throughout her time with us, Senora has consistently demonstrated commitment, hard work, and a strong desire to excel in everything she undertakes. We are thrilled to support her as she embarks on this exciting academic journey and wish her nothing but success in the days ahead. We are grateful for Senora’s ongoing journey and wholeheartedly extend our support to her. We wish her all the success in her academic and professional endeavors and look forward to witnessing the remarkable impact she will have in the future.

Ramya and Shashikala, esteemed alumni of Sukrupa, have been an integral part of the Sukrupa family for the past 22 years. Today, we are incredibly proud to see them thriving in their careers at SBI Bank—Ramya as a Department Manager and Shashikala as a Customer Service professional. Their remarkable journey is a testament to their hard work, perseverance, and unwavering dedication, and we feel immense pride in watching them achieve such professional success, Both Ramya and Shashikala are first-generation learners in their families, and their stories are a powerful reminder of the transformative impact of education. They have not only paved the way for themselves but have also become role models for countless others. Their achievements are a beacon of inspiration to the young girls of Sukrupa, We are privileged to have Ramya and Shashikala as part of the Sukrupa community and celebrate their success as a reflection of the values we strive to instill in our students. They are living proof that the power of education can break barriers, and we wish them continued success and fulfillment in all their future endeavors. Their stories inspire our girls to dream big, stay focused, and believe in their potential as strong, independent women who can achieve anything they set their minds to.

Community Development Meeting - 13th April 2024  

The Meeting was conducted by Murugan Sir focusing on interpersonal skills. We were  imparted valuable lessons on effective communication and interacting with people, emphasizing its importance in community engagement.Sir also provided insights into SUKRUPA, explaining its origins, objectives, and the reasons behind its establishment. The  presentation highlighted SUKRUPA's role in education and community empowerment.Additionally, Murugan Sir guided attendees on filling out forms for the upcoming community summer camp. He detailed the process, ensuring everyone understood the requirements and procedures involved.The meeting facilitated a deeper understanding of community involvement and SUKRUPA's mission, fostering a sense of purpose and unity among participants. Murugan Sir's informative sessions equipped attendees with practical skills and knowledge essential for community development initiatives. 

Salesforce Sessions- 25th & 26th May 2024 

 Salesforce is a leading cloud-based CRM company. In the session, we learned about its significance and cloud computing features, including data storage and cloud databases. The service categories discussed were Infrastructure (virtual storage), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS). We covered the MVC design pattern (Model-View-Controller) and the typical workflow of working from home. Salesforce supports B2C and B2B interactions and is crucial in e-commerce for marketing, service, experience, sales, and AI-powered customer support. We explored the Salesforce ecosystem and career paths, including roles like business analyst, consultant, developer, and administrator. 

Community Visit -  4th May 2024 

During our outreach in Gosai Slum, Shakthi Nagar, and Chamundi Nagar, we introduced SUKRUPA and its educational mission, emphasizing community development. We assisted families in completing enrollment forms for the upcoming community summer camp, gathering crucial details.Meetings held in residents' homes allowed us to engage directly with families. Conversations with children helped us understand their interests and aspirations, while we ensured parents understood SUKRUPA's role and the camp's guidelines. To boost awareness and participation, we distributed informative pamphlets detailing the camp's activities. A future meeting was scheduled to further discuss logistics and expectations.This proactive engagement aims to strengthen community ties and prepare for a successful summer camp, showcasing SUKRUPA's commitment to empowering through education.

Annual Planning For SuMargdarshak Sessions -  18th June 2024 

The annual planning meeting was focused on mentor training, scholarship plans, career guidance, and nutrition/hospitality planning. Our objectives include enhancing mentorship skills, expanding scholarship opportunities to support academic achievement for the year 2024-25, providing comprehensive career guidance through guest speakers, and developing nutrition and hospitality plans to enrich our Students well-being. By aligning these initiatives, we aim to empower our Students with valuable skills, resources, and support networks that foster personal growth and success. Together, we strategize and prioritize these goals to ensure a productive and impactful year ahead. 

Artha Earth Launch Event Report - June 8, 2024

On June 8, 2024, The Sumargadarshak Girls  participated in the Artha Earth launch with the collaboration of Bengaluru Dreamin. We began our day at 7 am. We had the privilege of meeting Ms. Arundhati Bhattacharya, whose insights greatly enriched our experience. We then attended an engaging and informative conference with Shrey Sharma, known as the Salesforce Hulk,we prepared for the stage with makeup and costumes and were privileged to be trained by Ms.Shabana Maam who  transformed us into  a mesmerizing group. It was a proud Moment for the girls of Sukrupa to get a chance  to walk the ramp alongside great people of Bengaluru Dreamin. The highlight was walking on stage before an audience of 2,000, an exhilarating and proud moment.This day was filled with fun and valuable lessons, This was made possible by Krupa aunty's support and guidance and unwavering love for the work she does. We are immensely grateful for this remarkable opportunity and the experiences it provided.
