From Grassroots to Global: RSKS India's Impact....

Rajasthan Samagra Kalyan Sansthan (RSKS India) proudly organized a powerful and well-received side event titled “Breaking Barriers: Towards Gender Equality and Empowering Women” during the 58th Session of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC-58), held at the United Nations Office in Geneva. The event brought together an esteemed panel of policymakers, human rights activists, and subject experts from around the world. It served as an impactful platform to discuss gender equality and women’s empowerment, highlighting key achievements, ongoing challenges, and future strategies for inclusive development.

The event commenced with a compelling keynote address by Dr. S. N. Sharma, CEO of RSKS India, who emphasized the transformative role of education, accessible healthcare, and economic independence in empowering women. He shared the inspiring outcomes of flagship RSKS India programs such as Her Voice, Women SHGs, Be Free Be Happy, Sustainable Livelihood, and Education for Every Girl. These initiatives have made a measurable impact in uplifting women and girls across both rural and urban communities in India. The presentation of real-life success stories and impact data deeply resonated with the audience and underscored the importance of grassroots efforts in driving systemic change.

In conclusion, all speakers echoed the urgent need for stronger international cooperation, progressive policymaking, and inclusive social innovation to further accelerate gender equality. The side event powerfully conveyed the message that gender equality is not only a basic human right but also a key driver of sustainable and inclusive global development.

Hands-On Experience in Meaningful Social Work !!

Warm Greetings from RSKS India.....

I, Dr. Arushi Lal Santania , am a proud volunteer at Rajasthan Samagrah Kalyan Sansthan (RSKS). Completing 200+ hours, I've gained invaluable experience under the supervision of RSKS CEO Dr. S.N. Sharma.

During my time at RSKS, I actively participated in various programs and initiatives aimed at empowering marginalized communities and fostering sustainable development. Some of the key activities I was involved in include:

Data analysis, feedback assessment, report making, and digitization of data which enhanced organizational efficiency.
Contributed in a value-based educational school called Pathshala. Served young girls from marginalized communities to create a better future for them.
Educated slum street children about cleanliness, moral values and provided primary education through a six day camp.
Celebrated major festivals and social days with slum street people to create inclusivity and distributed sweets and clothes.
Spread awareness about healthy and safe menstruation among rural women and girls.
Assisted in making flip charts, posters and banners to present our cause effectively in remote areas where classrooms and electronic projectors are not available.
Through these activities, I developed and enhanced the following skills:
Communication: Improved my ability to convey ideas effectively and interact with diverse groups.
Community Engagement: Gained practical experience in connecting with communities and understanding their needs.
Empathy: Strengthened my capacity to approach social issues with sensitivity and understanding.
Teamwork: Collaborated with team members to successfully implement various programs.
Organizational Skills: Demonstrated efficiency in managing tasks and contributing to the digitization project.

This internship provided me with hands-on experience in community engagement, program implementation, and teamwork. Each activity allowed me to better understand the multifaceted challenges faced by different communities and the role of social work in addressing these issues. The guidance and support from my supervisor and the NGO team were instrumental in shaping my skills and broadening my perspective on social work practice.

Overall, my experience at RSKS helped me strengthen my commitment to make a meaningful difference in society and prepared me for future endeavors in the field of social work.
