Greetings from WGNRR!
The past 3 months have been busy as always. We were very excited to welcome our new Staff members Catherine Swai and Sarah Jane Biton to the team!
This year, on May 28 International Day of Action for Women's Health, we encouraged our members and allies to take action with a number of events happening across the world! We also had great presence online with many of our allies tweeting and posting throughout the day. Our tweet chat hosted with Athena on #WhatGirlsWant made over one million impressions on twitter! You can check out more details of the campaign by visiting www.may28.org.
We have launched 2 youth blogs in the past 3 months. In May we also launched another #SRHRYouthblog featuring Franco Arjona, a special edition commemorating International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia.Meanwhile, our project staff continue to facilitate human rights wrkshops and training and representing the organisation at conferences across the world. Meanwhile, in July we heard about Sarryna Gesite's journey as a young SRHR activist in The Philippines in another WGNRR youth blog.
Stay tuned for our upcoming September 28 (International Safe Abortion Day) campaign coming up - visit www.september28.org for more details!
In solidarity,
The WGNRR Team
