THE ACHIEVEMENTS ARE AMAZING

By Rose Bugusu | Director

thank you for the new shoes for your children
thank you for the new shoes for your children

The first quarter of the New Year is almost ending! I can assure you that there are amazing things you are doing in children’s lives in rural western Kenya. Last year we had 31 pupils who graduated from the primary school and this year we have 27 who will also be graduating from primary school. What an AMAZING ACHIEVEMENT! YOU gave them an opportunity to finish their primary level, kept them in school, provided all the basic needs and to others YOU actually gave them a home. We have no words to express all these but it can be felt through the smiles on the faces of our children.

Last year apart from the children who have already joined high school we had 51 children in the home and now we have 57 meaning we have an additional of six. The six who have joined the Tumaini family are between the age of 3 weeks and 6yrs. Three of these children have sponsors and three still need sponsors. The sponsorship enables us to keep the children in school and provide their school supplies and healthcare. Through the volunteers who visited us last year we managed to paint their rooms and the study room. We also managed to purchase two baby coats for the babies and this has improved the environment.

We are very much grateful for your monthly support towards the wellbeing of these children, Tumaini as an organization and the community. You might not understand the difference and the change but we can feel it. As the number of the children increase it becomes a challenge as every child has to be taken good care of and has to be given the attention just like other children. It is in this regard that we kindly remind you to help us expand our sponsors’ family by sharing with friends, relatives and groups. The needs are overwhelming and we believe as we continue to work together as a team, hold hands together, share with others, we are going to achieve more. We are changing this community forever and for good!

Thank you friends  for your compassion and love
