Please find below information about of our last activities :
Winter Plan in France :
Our teams of volunteers participate actively in the actions organized within the framework of the Winter Plan.
This plan is activated by every department when the weather conditions become extreme.
The social emergency medical service and the pilferings are strengthened:
- more volunteers, increase of the frequency and duration of the street tours.
- Transport of the people towards reception centers.
- Distribution of meals and hot drinks,blankets and warm clothes.
- Creation of places of hosting to complete the places of emergency housing in insufficient number to welcome all the people in the street, during the activation of the winter plan,
- additional places are opened in every department
Fight against malnutrition in Sahel
Committed since 2012 to the side of the Mali Red Cross in the Kayes region of Mali , the French Red Cross has supported the management of more than 33 000 children under five suffering from malnutrition.
After four years, our work has helped establishing a community screening device and in quality care, to support the health system in 77 health facilities in the districts of Kayes and Yélimané. More than 1 000 volunteers from the Malian Red Cross were mobilized in support of communities, and more than 200 agents of the health system could benefit from a quality support through the expertise of the delegates of the French Red Cross.
Ukraine: departure of a humanitarian convoy
Violent clashes and political crisis that shook the country, adds a major economic crisis, which intensified the precariousness in which Ukrainian living. Facing this situation, our association is committed to assist the affected population : a humanitarian convoy left France on February 25th.
150 refugees welcomed in Roissy Airport (Paris)
The French Red Cross participated on Monday, March 7 on welcoming the refugees at Roissy Charles de Gaulle airport, where 150 refugees arrived in the morning. They are welcomed in France as part of the European relocation of asylum seekers program.
The refugees were taken to buses that would take them to centers for asylum seekers in the Jura, Haute-Saône, Gironde, Charente-Maritime and in the north.
