We are the Differently Abled
We are the Differently Abled

Dear Alhassan’s Donors,

We do highly thank you for your last donation. You have supported in the change of people’s life. Your support made a change for people whom are physically challenged. Social awareness is one of our main core projects. Our target is to change the misconceptions of our society that engraved in their thoughts. The physically challenged people are “differently- abled” in their own ways. We focus on this concept by spreading it via all our channels and through our events, speeches and lectures at schools and universities.

We had a great impact on our community. We were able to hold an “awareness campaign” with the Cairo University . We met up with teaching staff and students, we talked about the importance of changing the misconceptions related to the physically challenged people and focused on the importance of inclusion. We highlighted on the importance of accessibility all around the university as the differently abled person has the right to move around freely without any barriers.

The audience were so much engaged as two of our members were telling their stories while they were students in their respective universities. Alaa, and Rania tackled the obstacles they faced while being at college such as lack of accessibility inside the campus, lack of inclusion and lack of social awareness. In this campaign, they gave solutions for these problems. Moreover, we met 21 wheelchair users of students joining different colleges. They also shared their experience and they learned from our campaign as well. Therefore, social awareness is one of the most impactful projects. Your kind donation will help a lot in changing the mindsets by holding such events for awareness across all Egypt’s 27 governorates.

We encourage you to continue supporting us and staying loyal donor to our causes through subscribing to a monthly recurring donation option. That will help wheelchair users in Egypt be more independent and successful. Please visit our Facebook page to read other success stories:
